Operator Commanded Regen

Hey I know someone has got this working and I can’t remember who or what thread but what do you need to do in Forscan to set up operator commanded regen? There’s been a few times I’ve been highway driving at 80-85% miles from destination then truck ends up trying to start a regen when I’m like 5 minutes from my house lol

For those not following the Forscan thread. I was able to completely enable OCR in Forscan. Use the actual modules and not the as built settings. The modules have the options to change it.

First, bring up the IPC module and change the Auto regen checkbox to show it in the instrument panel. I don't have a screen shot of this but it is near the top. The checkbox will come up but you can't do anything to it.

Next, go to the PCM and there is a option (some say it is new) to turn on OCR in the PCM. Below is the initial screen for the PCM

Once you select DPF Manual Regeneration, this screen comes up

Choose the third option and apply it.

After the PCM reboots, you will be able to control the regen checkbox.

Funny thing is that I haven't had a need to use OCR to defer a regen for some time now, but it is sure nice to have it available especially for the few miles away from getting home and parking situations as you described.

I have other posts where I am now experimenting with Fuel Ox additive in attempt to try to stretch out the distance between regens. I am still in what I would consider a testing trial phase, and I intend to post another update on that in a few days. Here are links to my most recent post on that in case anyone missed them...

Even if it starts as you get to your destination it will restart (if it is at 100%) when you get back in. Seems I always get it to 85% then stop.
