Please help me find oil!

I don’t own the f150 but the Land Rover discovery with the same engine and for the absolute life of me I can’t find any of this API FA-4 5w30 oil. I’ve been hitting google and amazon and nothing. Can someone please tell me where to buy the stuff? I need to get it ordered so I can do a change when I get home from a work trip.

Only Ford and Phillips/Kendall are readily available. Motorcraft (made by Phillips for Ford) is called F150 oil and Phillips 66 is called Triton FE (Kendall is owned by Phillips 66). SO, RockAuto, or your local Ford dealer has Motorcraft, while a local Phillips Lube Distributor might have 5/30 Triton FE.

This is why I went with Rotella T6, available at any truck stop or Walmart. Good luck and thanks for posting!

It absolutely does for the F-150. I cannot comment on the LR or Jag. That is all my F-150 has had in 15k miles and it still purrssss like a Kitten.

Note 7: says CK-4 oil can be used in a 3.0 meeting spec WSS-M2C171-F1. This PDF shows Rotella T6 meets WSS-M2C171-F1 spec. https://www.fcsdchemicalsandlubrican...SSM2C171F1.pdf

That article is why I went with T6 for my first oil change. I'm 9,000 miles in and still showing 33% life on the oil monitor. Not sure how far i'm going to push it but so far i'm a fan of the T6.

Another fan of Rotella T6 5W-40 here. I've been using it since my 1st oil change (~8K, 2nd change was ~15.5K), and my truck now has 17,800 miles and continues tracking to ~10K drain intervals but I have decided to change every 7,500 miles because of towing my boat with it. I am planning on doing my next change ~22.5K.

I order my OEM filters from here --> https://www.dieselfiltersonline.com/...il-filter.html (Note: ordering 4 at a time seems to be the sweet spot for shipping costs).

Rotella T6 is readily available locally, and Walmart carries it at decent pricing.

I then take the OEM filter and the Rotella T6 5W-40 to my local Ford dealer and the boys change my oil for $26 using my provided supplies.

I go to play in a monthly home poker game where a mechanic from my Ford diesel shop also plays in, so have gotten to know him over the last 2-3 years. I've probably asked him 100 questions about our trucks since taking ownership of mine the day before last Thanksgiving. One of the questions I did ask him was oil, and he instantly replied Rotella for what it's worth.

Do all CK-4 5W-40 oils meet the ford spec? Just wondering because I picked up 5 gallons of Mobil 1 diesel 5W-40 CK-4 today. After the store discount and factory rebate it was 18.99/ gallon
