Hi Everyone! I'm Austin and I own a 2018 F-150 King Ranch 6.5" bed FX-4 diesel. I absolutely love it. I've owned 4 previous F-150s and this is the best. I now have 12,900k miles. So I'm wondering. How many sought out their diesel and how many found one on the lot and happened to be diesel? Cheers!
Left over 2018 KR that happened to be diesel.

@LionKingRanch - Let me first welcome you to our little corner of the Internet here in DieselF150Forum!

I factory-ordered my 2018 F150 Platinum FX4 in Feb 2018 and did not take delivery until last September 2018. Having previously owned a 2010 Platinum and 2015 Platinum, you can tell what truck brand I like.

When I bought my 2015, I wasn't planning on buying a new truck as my daughter was starting college in the Fall of 2015, but the dealer made me an offer I couldn't refuse. I do remember wishing that they had a diesel engine option in 2015 but I was a little too early... When Ford came out with the new 3.0L PowerStroke option for the 2018 models, I got my dealer to flip their first F150 Diesel order for their dealership into my factory order.

In retrospect, my 2018 F150 Platinum was my easiest purchasing experience, as I mentioned I wanted my current exact truck (2015) just with the 3.0L PowerStroke to my Service Manager, and when I stopped in two (2) weeks later he told me that my truck had been ordered = they pulled the order for my 2015 Platinum and changed their existing 2018 F150 Diesel order for their dealership into what became my 2018 F150 Platinum Diesel.

It was waiting 8 months for my 2018 Platinum to be built and delivered that was excruciating: Anyone else in the same boat?

Welcome! I checked around looking for a left over and found Ruby. I was looking for a Platinum but didn't want a sunroof and there she was. I have a 2013 XLT with 109,000 miles and Ruby has a long way to go to beat those trouble free miles but so far so good.
Nice looking truck. My first/last F150 was a 1983 so looking forward to driving mine once we can travel again. Its at my farm in a building since the day I brought it home. Wasn't looking for a diesel but too good of a deal to pass up. 14 months old with 22,600 miles. Previous owner traded it in for a Dodge Durango so I bought it from a Dodge/Jeep dealer.

My last truck was a 2008 F350 DRW King Ranch so glad to be back in the saddle so to speak.
I picked up my 2018 KR CCLB last August with 10k miles on it. Traded a 2015 Ecodiesel with 83k (trouble-free) miles for it. Overall I'm happy with it.
