Downloaded FORScan lite and bought the obdmx Bluetooth adapter. Learned that my truck 95% city does a regen every 495 miles on average for the year I have owned it and 14k miles so far. Today I watched my filter get to 99% and watched a regen occur while in stop and go traffic it took the filter down to 20% and stopped the regen at the exact moment I pulled into my driveway… oddly good timing or it knew I was home? Either way pretty cool and worked way better and less often then I though. See screen shots for before regen start of regen mid regen and the moment regen ended today. Took exactly 20 mins to complete.

So you are saying (confirmed by the screenshots) that the Automatic regen occurs now at 500 miles on the 2021 version of the 3.0L V6 Lion engine compared to the 300 mile limit on the 2018-2020 models? And are you saying that it is now a forced regen at 500 miles regardless of city vs highway driving? If the latter is true, I'm pissed as I am still averaging 125-150 miles between regens with my current 90% City/10% highway driving with my 2018 Platinum...

I am not sure to tell you the truth the regen occurred when I was at 100% on filter capacity however it also happened to be very close to the 500 mile mark so the two numbers aligned with each other I am not sure which of the two numbers triggered the regen

I will say as you can see in photo with 95% city my average distance between regens is 495 miles so I can confirm on my 2021 that it’s definitely not happening at 300 like I have read on this forum for others

I'm on an extended cross-country trip in my 2021 F150, and I have 3000 miles to go. How do I tell when the truck is doing a regen? No, I don't have Forscan loaded, so I can't use that. I would like to track the number and frequency of regens in my almost all highway driving over the next 3000 miles, and I will post those results back here for comparison.
You can’t as far as I know. Other then auto start stop disabling or drop in mpg or heat/smell of exhaust

Update on the 2021. After last regen I did strictly stop go , grocery store etc and crappy cheap no brand diesel. It regen at 200 miles. Then I did a normal 50% city and 50% highway. The highway run cleaned my dpf down to 3% passively! But I got home did some more city and like clock work regen at 500 miles. Photo of before regen , at regen and at regen completion below so I can confirm that atleast on my truck it will regen when full or at 500 miles not 300 like others have stated on older trucks not sure if it’s a 2021 thing or an update who knows But I can also say my shortest cycle between regens was caused by cheap crappy diesel too
