Hey F150PS peeps. Doing some hurricane prep and I want to empty my two 5 gallon steel Jerry cans into my tank. Of course I know about the OEM Grey funnel that we need to add snake oil into our tanks….since I am dumping in 6 month old diesel, does anyone know of a screen/filter that fits inside or sits in top of grey funnel? Trying to keep crud out of the tank….

If I am dealing with sediment, I go one of two ways. Option 1 is to put a coffee filter in the funnel. Next option that I use is a small low pressure fuel pump, some rubber hose, and then a fuel filter. Honestly, if you have better things to do, a coffee filter, a spare fuel can, and a funnel will probably work best.

My bigger concern would be potential algae growth, if that fuel has been sitting for a while, especially in warm humid climates.
