Thanks for the info guys. My truck will be turning over 20,000 by the end of the weekend, so if this issue is mileage triggered I am in that mileage zone, so will keep my eyes out for these codes and at least have this TSB info in my back pocket in case something happens.

Glad to hear having that TSB applied fixed up your trucks.

Had the Check engine light come on two days ago. Investigation said PCM P2201. NoX sensor failure.

Had an appointment with the service dept. this morning and advised them of TSB 19-2018.

They seemed to already be aware of the bulletin.

PCM was flashed with the latest update and all is well.

The Service technician said it was never the NoX sensor just the PCM REQUESTING AN UPDATE.???

Maybe this had something to do with my DPF regen problem earlier.

Yep, I just had mine looked at last week for this. Seems strange to just do a PCM update to fix a sensor error, but hopefully they know what they're doing.
I did notice when doing FORSCAN changes that the code has been pending for several weeks before being "confirmed" and that's when the CEL came on.

Well, my truck is just over 17,000 miles and a few months ago started throwing P2201 almost daily. Finally took it in and they reflashed it, all seems great.

Just had this P2201 show up tonight with 26.7K miles on my 2018 F150 Platinum = guess I need to schedule a service appointment and reference the P2201 diagnostic code and the following TSBs:
  • TSB 18-2326
  • TSB 19-2018
  • TSB 19-2019
Hoping a reflash cures this...

My dealership's GM is going to start wondering what's up after seeing me 4 times in less 2 months.

On a positive front, I used my new Edge Insight CTS3 to read the P2201 diagnostic code!

Just got back from my scheduled service appointment for tis P2201 code -- more info/details:
  • Under "What should I do?" in FordPass, they recommend checking for dirty or improperly installed air filter
  • Arrived at 7:50 AM for 8:00 AM appointment
    • Provided Service Advisor with following info:
      • P2201 Diagnostic code (surfaced via Edge Insight CTS3)
      • TSBs 19-2018/2019 (provided above by @GaryGem = thanks!)
  • Truck pulled into bay at 8:15 AM
  • Service Repair Order (RO) completed by 8:45 AM:
    • Verified P2201 diagnostic code
    • Installed customer supplied air filter
    • Investigated via OASIS which pointed them to TSB 19-2018
    • Re-flashed PCM
    • Reran tests => Passed
  • All work covered under warranty ($0 cost)
As others have indicated, everything seems to be back to normal after reflash, so this one seems to be just programming = not huge deal...
