Code P2457 DPF pressure differential circuit high (17,000 kms) 2019

Love the truck but recently had a P2457 malfunction light come on periodically even after i erase it. Says P2457 dpf pressure differential high. Happened soon after i got a LOW DEF warning on highway. I didnt empty it but it was low. I since then topped it off to full and now it sits at 4500 km range and doesnt use any def. What i think is happening is regen isnt happening and DPF is dirty. I have a service appt in near future. Any thoughts feedback?

Sal1978 - do you have DPF Full % enabled in your IPC via FORScan?

My guess is this is what owners will experience if they're not pro-actively managing Active Regens
No I don’t have DPF enabled. Will a dealer do this?
4500km is really low range if you're topped up. I'm a hair over 1/2 for DEF and my range is 5500km.
You could try the old battery disconnect and drain to reset the pcm. You'll lose some settings like time and audio but it might give you enough life to do a good highway burn and clear some of the dpf out passively.

Well I took it to dealer and they said the P2457 code was a EGR valve actuator. They said part about is back ordered and to keep driving it.
I disconnected negative on battery for few hours and topped the DEF tank up with one jug. It says range 2750 km and the DeF tank is like 3/4 to 7/8 full. I find that odd that my range is so low compared to others
What type of driving do you do? I'm mostly highway with minimal short trips so my DEF range reflects that.
Lots of short trips and city type driving will burn through DEF much quicker.

Lots 30 minute trips. But how does my DEF know that?
DEF usage is typically just a ratio of fuel consumed. I'm not sure if there are any other variables in the equation for our trucks but in simple terms, burn more fuel use more DEF.
@Sal1978 - my dealer balked at enabling, so I enabled myself via ODBii adapter and FORScan...

Other members have been successfully in getting their dealers to enable:
=> See Posts #65 and #66 in Diesel Particulate Filter status thread
=> Use @KR2018 's reason of parking your truck in your garage during Active Regen as leverage

Glad to hear this code is caused by a part covered under warranty...

Thank you for posting back your resolution = this helps us build a user knowledge base
