Has anyone put a particulate filter back exhaust system on I know it deletes the muffler ?

I sold one to a guy long time ago, never heard back whether he liked it or not though.
I liked the video that Magnaflow has it sounds good but i was thinking about it maybe reducing exhaust temp and being less restrictive and improving performance
The general consensus in the 6.7 groups is DPF back exhaust does nothing.

Maybe try it if you have some cash to burn, or just save the money for a tuner and real exhaust?

If you dont want to remove the DPF, there are alot of good emissions on tuning options that will yield much more bang for the buck in terms of power and MPG, but not sound.

Just some thoughts.

That sounds like a good idea I will start my research thanks
Yes, mbrp 4" dpf-back with a mini stainless glasspack resonator (pennsylvania law requires a "muffler" on all diesels). Deeper tone, not overly loud and no resonance.
Go to a local muffler shop and get them to cut out the muffler and put in a piece of pipe. Cheap to do and easy to return to stock if you don't like it.
If you do it, report back. I've been wanting to do this but haven't gotten around to it
I have the 4-inch Magnaflow muffler delete filter back dual tip setup. I love the sound. Especially during regeneration. Is it worth fuel mileage? Maybe. Maybe in combo with my S&B intake. Air in = air out. Probably won’t pay for the upgrades, but who cares. The sound of the Magnaflow is nice, and the sound of the air rushing in the S&B is great. Increased turbo whistle also sounds good.

How was the install on the Magnaflow? I've been eyeing this for a while, and would want to tackle the install myself. Big difference in sound from the exhaust?

I posted a reply but it disappeared. The install was easy. You just need two guys. One to hold the DPF to prevent it from twisting at the flex mesh pipe connection while you twist the muffler to disengage from the two tabs welded on the DPF. Then, the entire exhaust comes out in one piece with some fanagling over the rear axle.
I love the sound. Not near as quiet as the AFE. Really rumbles when getting on it, but not like the ticked off bumble bee 3.5L EcoBoost HO in the Raptor. When in regen, it’s really throaty and tough. The twin 5 inch tips look great.

Thank you! Sounds like this will be on the list of projects this Spring/Summer.
Agreed..tune and then maybe a different muffler

Hi Smokewagun
Can you post part numbers for the items you have installed and/or where you bought them. Thank you
