F150 Diesel Ford Protect Extended Warranty recommendations
Gents, since the threads I searched for this question were all a year and half old or older, I'll restart with a new thread.
My 2021 Lariat+ has 25Kmi, and a year and a half to go. I'll probably run out of the full warranty on mileage before I reach 3 years. I will have the powertrain warranty for some years yet, up to 100,000 miles. I've been getting letters from Ford Protect offering me the extended warranty. There are several options, starting with the Premium, which pretty much extends the bumper-to-bumper 3/36 warranty. I'm most concerned about electronics, because it's near impossible to troubleshoot or repair those without specialized equipment and software, and can get very expensive. And, I have the Lariat version with the new larger for 2021 12" touchscreen and its integrated software.
I have not yet called the Ford phone number to see how much these cost. Do any of you have experience with the Ford extended warranties? Have any of you priced these and compared to other aftermarket warranty companies? Does the price get more competitive the longer you wait to sign up?

I saw your post about how to get the best extended warranty, I just picked up a 2019 3.0 KR with 9300 miles on it and looking to get an extended warranty.

Do not call ford. Go thru this ford dealer. It will save you almost 50% from what ford will charge you. This is where I got mine from. It is a real ford dealer and a real ford direct warranty just half the cost. I purchased both my extended and my maintenance from these fine folks. Also, no need to be local. I am in WA and they are in MN. I got mine premium 8yr/100K via FloodESP just look them up online much cheaper than the local dealer.
