We'll just got back from a short(160 miles) camping trip with the Family..XLT 5.5 box and the camper weight was about 5500#'s and the back was full of bikes. The milage was 14 mpg, but the thing I did not like was the shocks I assume..Maybe a weight distribution hitch, I don't know. Thinking on the 5100's on rear and give that a go. Will see..

Look into the firestone ride rite air suspension for the rear. It makes a huge difference in towing. I put this system on my buddies 2500 cummins and it was a night and day difference. No more swaying no more sag better handling all around. Its pricey but worth its weight in gold.
