Perfectly understandable man, and I'm sure the 2.7 will serve your needs just fine. The fuel economy numbers are looking lower than what I was hoping for in the diesel, and the only real area of significant improvement in the powerstroke seems to be with towing.
Have to bail on the diesel
Well gents, I have to do it. I will be canceling my order today and will be purchasing my 2018 2.7L EB. I held out as long as I could, but due to my family situation changing (got picked for adoption) I need a reliable vehicle and can not wait the unknown amount of time for my diesel. The EPA rating on the 2.7 is only 1MPG less than the 3.0L and I couldn’t really justify holding out just so I could have the diesel. I found the exact same truck as the one I ordered in the 2.7 and will pull the trigger today. Best of luck to all of you and I hope you all enjoy those diesels when you get it!
