Stumbled upon this forum. Recently purchased a 2018 F-150 TIA... err, Mini stroke? Baby stroke? 3.0L Powerstroke? :grin2:
Previously had a '13 Ram 1500 quadcab and with my family (soon to be) growing in size had to upgrade my seating arrangements. Was able to get the '18 for a good deal and certainly has more bells and whistles inside than I could have ever wanted. Was hesitant for buying a diesel (especially a 1st year Ford run) but after researching the motor's history and knowing that the fuel economy was supposedly wonderful I decided to pull the trigger.
So far, less than 2 weeks of owning it I have put on almost 800 miles and averaged just under 23mpg... not too shabby. While the ride feels a little rougher than my Ram I can say everything else in the truck makes up for it (except that auto start/stop... thank goodness for that button).
Not sure if I am going to do anything much to the truck. Ordered a tri-fold hard bed cover, vent visors, bug/stone guard and weathertek mats... I think that would be good for now. Perhaps a decent air filter in my future?
Here to have a few laughs while gaining knowledge and ironing out bugs.
