Looking to get a truck and on the fence. Should I got for the Ram 1500 EcoDiesel or the Ford F-150 Diesel?

I'll mostly be looking at the fuel efficiency of both and payload ratings.

Was thinking of the chevy colorado but their malfunctioning airbags are making me wary of the model and the transmission seems to be experiencing problems.

You're not the only one on the fence between the Ram 1500 EcoDiesel and the Ford F-150 Diesel. right now we don't have much info about the Ford F-150 Diesel but if it has similar power and torque to the ram with even better fuel economy, then the Ford diesel may look more appealing to me.
Those two seems to be the main competitors.

I'm hoping Ford give it the F-150 Lariat SuperCrew grille. That one looks the cleanest to me out of their current lineup or do you guys think the diesel mode will get a new grille design?
Since this is supposed to be their most fuel efficient F150, I can't see ford making it look the same as all their other models.
Yea I think everyone here is in that same dilemma to be honest lol. Which is kind of a good thing so that we can share our experiences and thought process :) But welcome to the forums anyhow, hopefully we can all figure this out
I don't know about you guys but when it comes to range, I will be also looking towards the Hybrid F150, open to both the Diesel and Hybrid F150. It was already spied testing, so who knows, maybe we'll go into 2017 with them finally on the road?

Does anyone have predicted mileage for them ?
The Ram 1500 EcoDiesel has a highway rating of 29 mpg so we should be seeing something on par or above that for the Ford F-150 Diesel.
I assume we'll be seeing at the very least a highway rating of 30 mpg just so Ford can claim that the F-150 Diesel has better fuel economy than Ram even if it is marginal.

Even if they have to lie about it they will, in the end no matter what they'll come out in profits by a lot. The marketing advantage it gives them alone is just huge.
Still definitely interested in what the real world numbers will be but it'll be a while before we see those of course. Either way, a tune will be immediately necessary to see what we can squeeze out of these things.
