This was a problem with 2011/ early 2012, 3.5 Ecos. When you'd cruise at high humidity the condensation collected in the bottom of the intercooler and if you suddenly accelerated the engine would take a gulp of that water and go "Limp Home". After a few updates the engines were detuned enough for this not to happen. But Man did we lose that Early Model Power. My Tech admitted that everyone complained about the loss of spunk in their motors. My 2011 was a beast, before it was "Fixed" . My 2014 has never had the intercooler issue. I wouldn't drill the intercooler unless you've had water ingestion problems. jmho
