Hi everyone. Just got done putting down a deposit on a 4x4 Lariat Super Crew.
The rational part of my brain is giving me a Ghostbusters "what did you do, Ray?" scolding. Bit really this is the truck I've been wanting for a while.
I wanted something that could tow my Jeep on a trailer and get decent mileage as a daily driver.
Congrats on ordering one but did you at any point consider what rival brands have to offer? I know a lot of people have been looking at the RAM 1500 Diesel and then some brave ones that want to give Nissan a chance with its Titan Diesel.
The Ram was lacking in the tow rating department. Given that I'll be towing over mountain passes that concerned me. The Titan doesn't get so much better mileage than a 3/4 ton diesel offerings.
I'm sure the 2019 Ram and GM offerings will be competitive but the Ford is available a lot sooner and meets my needs when I need it.
Ordered a Blue Jean 5.5 Platinum on the 18th. Looking forward to getting the truck. Wish it had a larger tank. Now if my local Costco only sold Diesel.
Dealer told me today looming at production. Sometime in March and delivery end of May.
