No VIN. Just got a notification from ford that they would build end of June. Dealership called it an ok to build. Again, mine works a little different than most due to being ordered under fleet account. I don’t have the option to track with COTUS.

Ordered f150 diesel today 4-15

F150 4X4 Platinum white platinum metallic 145” 701A
Dealer said that none have been delivered and not sure of any scheduled. Dealership had ordered 2 when ordering became available and received no expatation for delivery...
Anyone have any positive news for actually delivery?

First time buying a Ford; lack of an ETA has been an interesting purchasing experience so far. I have been a long time BMW owner and that has spoiled me compared to this.

I’m second thinking the wait here. Not sure if I should switch to a 5.0 v8 and call it a day.

Normally one would get an eta and soon after order a VIN, except fleet orders. Middle of the year first production run I assume Ford is not sure. Highly anticipated truck, wonder how many have been ordered so far? My dealer only confirmed that production is going, but no word on a VIN for me yet. Not heard of a single delivery. There are a few on here that got in opening orders, hopefully they report something!

My dealer is telling me they expect June build now and that they are only producing 2018 for the month of June then go into the normal pause before rolling out the 2019's. This is frustrating. Why not just make them all 2019's since they slow rolled them out. On the fence of canceling the order for a 2019.

As bad as that does suck, I have to be good with that. I need a truck like yesterday as I sold my tundra 3 weeks ago and have narrowed a vehicle until I get my truck. My only other option is to go with an Eco, and I’ve already waited this long.... So I’ll conti to wait.

Don't know why they aren't prioritizing vehicles on order, rather than building 2018 models that are just going to sit on lots. Personally I think the diesel is worth waiting for, but I would appreciate better transparency from the dealers.

I don’t think the lack of information is on the dealers. They would tell you if they knew. I’m not expecting to actually see any diesels until we have EPA numbers and see some test mules out there. It worries me a bit that we haven’t seen either yet. The lack of confirmed EPA approval is especially troublesome.
