Hi guy's, I'm going to look at a used certified 2018 this Saturday
It has 29000 on it and these are the recalls that were done.so far.
19N06 door latch
20N01 Tailgate
20N03 Tailgate
20E04 EGR
20M04 Power Door Lock
on the window sticker it looks like the build date was 07/30/18
The car Fax says it has one open recall still
Am I good with the EGR being done it looks like it was done between 12500 and 25000 miles ago.
Thanks

There is another recall, 20V097 for some headlight adjustment.

NHTSA Recall Number: opens new window takes away from VIN lookup section>20V097Recall Date: February 21, 2020
Manufacturer Recall Number: 20C03

SUMMARY:
ON THESE VEHICLES, WHEN THE DAYTIME RUNNING LAMPS (DRL) ARE ILLUMINATED AND THE MASTER LIGHTING SWITCH IS MANUALLY ROTATED FROM THE AUTOLAMP POSITION TO THE HEADLAMP ON (LOW BEAM) POSITION, THE DRLS REMAIN ACTIVATED INSTEAD OF DIMMING TO PON THESE VEHICLES, WHEN THE DAYTIME RUNNING LAMPS (DRL) ARE ILLUMINATED AND THE MASTER LIGHTING SWITCH IS MANUALLY ROTATED FROM THE AUTOLAMP POSITION TO THE HEADLAMP ON (LOW BEAM) POSITION, THE DRLS REMAIN ACTIVATED INSTEAD OF DIMMING TO PARKING LAMPS AS REQUIRED BY FMVSS 108, EXCEEDING THE PHOTOMETRIC OUTPUT ALLOWED BY FMVSS 108.

I haven't had this done as I like the way it is. I made some changes with forscan and don't want to have to do them over. If you are doing this through a Ford dealer the salespersons should be willing to pull an Oasis report showing the egr work has been done. There were two recalls on the egr valve but depending on the build date your truck may have needed only one or possibly none. I think the tailgate and door latch ones are TSBs not recalls so I am guessing you are looking at a truck that was used up north- they may be about freezing. I haven't had those done either.

Best of luck, hope your search is successful!

@The-tiler - as you are new here to the forums and these models, I'll provide some history.

The first year 2018 models were very late. While the order books for the 2018 gasoline models opened sometime in 2nd half of 2017 with 2018 models showing up in the fall of 2017, the order books for the 2018 PowerStroke Diesels (PSD) did not open until roughly the middle of January 2018. My dealer flipped one of their original allotment of two (2) trucks for their lot into my factory order at the end of January 2018. Even with order books opened in Jan 2018, it took quite a while for any F150 PSD to start coming off the line (Guessing May 2018)

If you go back to the very early threads in these forums, you'll find that the earliest any forum member took delivery was roughly in June 2018. Mine did not roll off the line until early September 2018, after my dealer got the one other one for their original allotment and a second one ordered after Jan 2018!

If your manufacture date is 07/30/18, then you indeed have one of the early PSDs that came off the line in 2018. Since this is one of the early ones, it was subject to both 18E02 and 20E04 EGR By-Pass valve recalls:
  • 18E02: Possibility of screws holding the flapper plate in EGR By-Pass valve falling out
  • 20E04: Possibility of the shaft the flapper plate screws into breaking & releasing a thrust washer
Both are very serious and could lead to parts being sucked into the engine causing further damage. I am a tad bit concerned that I don't see 18E02 listed in your list of recalls performed, but I don't know where you got your list from and maybe 18E02 wasn't listed because was superseded by 20E04.

My recommendation to any perspective buyer looking to purchase any Ford vehicle is to ask your Ford dealer for a VIN-specific OASIS report, which will list any-and-all recall work ever performed on the vehicle. It will include dates so that you can see how fast the previous owner(s) brought their vehicle in for warranty work. If buying from a used car lot or private sale, you can still ask your local Ford dealer to provide this OASIS report for you. The OASIS report will list both 18E02 and 20E04 if the valve was replaced twice.

Edit: I'll admit I didn't read all the way thru @Dunrollin's post above where he provided a similar recommendation on the OASIS report...

I have a 2018 F150 power stroke with less than 400 mi. It was in an accident, apparently while on the dealer lot and seems that it took a long time to get things straightened out. It has been completely repaired. Car fax shows structural damage. The front of the frame where the bumper bolts on has been cut off and a new piece welded on ( passenger side only). This is a crew cab short bed (145 WB) Platinum with all the extras. If you are interested I can send the vin so that you an get a full report. Clean title but no warranty.

@The-tiler - Looking at the OASIS report above, I see 18E02 (1st EGR By-Pass Valve recall) but I don't see 20E04 (2nd EGR By-Pass Valve recall) listed out.

Based on this I have the following questions for you:
  1. is this a different truck than the one you initially list the recalls for in Post #1?
(Pretty sure said that one got sold)
  2. Is there only one page to the OASIS report?
  3. Did you purchase Private Sale or from a Ford dealer?
Based on the last recall listed in Dec 2021, looks like you bought it up near me (Romeo Ford in Kingston, NY). If you bought if from them, I'd be asking why they didn't perform 20E04 or your truck before they sold it to you, as 20E04 comes with stop sale order on both new & used vehicles I believe.

Do-not-Stop-at-Go/Do-not-Collect-$200 => get your truck to a Ford dealer to get 20E04 recall done.

Morning J
Yes it came from Remeo, they took it off to send it to the wholesaler but it never went.
I ended up getting in contact with them and it was still there.
The original recall list was from carfax and the printout was from them.
I am going to have to call my local dealer this week and find out what was done.
How long does it take for the recalls to show up on oasis after they are completed.
If it's a gold certified everything should have been done correct?
@The-tiler - it did take a while for 20E04 to show up on my OASIS report = I think I got it done in the first week in December 2020 and it still hadn't been posted more than 30 days later. When I went in the next time, the service scheduler admitted that he hadn't submitted the warranty claim paperwork until the 3rd week of December, so I accounted for my slow update in OASIS due to the delay in my dealership submitting the paperwork and vacations due to the end of the year holiday season.

I would hope "gold certified" would mean they completed all open recalls on your VIN before releasing the truck to you, but at this point I wouldn't trust any Ford dealer:
  • Your 18E02 recall was done in a timely fashion by April 2019
    • 18E02 used the "A" suffix/revision replacement part
    • Your 18E02 date was typical and was well before 20E04 was announced
  • Problem is the shaft on "A" revision part could break, hence 20E04 recall using "B" suffix/replacement part
    • My 2018 has both 18E02 and 20E04 recalls = I've had (2) EGR By-pass Valves replaced
  • Get you VIN-specific OASIS report to verify both 18E02 and 20E04 were done
    • Schedule 20E04 w/your local dealer ASAP if 20E04 does not show up on your OASIS report

@The-tiler - OK I see 20E04 on the 2nd page = you are OK! Congrats on the new-to-you truck!

Carroll: what price do you have in mind?
@Carroll Vaughn you have an interesting truck there. I have seen a few videos of the front frame replaced, looks like Ford designed it for a fairly simple repair. This guy says he has done several and it is not too hard:

It looks like someone will have a great truck!
