I have almost 1500 miles on the truck now and every time I've filled the tank the truck's MPG meter is 1MPG more optimistic than the actual math of miles/gallons.


Anyone else checked the MPG meter compared to the real calculation to see what you get?

Pretty normal for all vehicles I think. The MPG gauge is always a little high, or low.

I was going to wait until I am running on non winter blend diesel (i.e., summer diesel) before I attempt to do this correction.

My truck has always been reporting ~1mpg over hand calculated also, and my odometer is almost at 6,000 miles now.
