In addition to best-in-class towing and payload, Ford can also add best 1/2-ton pickup fuel economy to its trophy case, because the 2018 F-150 Power Stroke diesel has been rated at a max of 22 city/30 highway/25 combined mpg (presumably with two-wheel drive). That EPA-estimated fuel efficiency is not only tops in the fullsize pickup class, it also matches the efficiency ratings of the midsize Chevrolet Colorado

If these figures end up holding true with real world testing, that means the F150 Diesel actually gets better highway mileage than the Ecosport, which is rated to 29mpg. It looks like mating the Power Stroke diesel to a 10 speed tranny was a worthwhile investment.

Diesels generally do better than rated...gas less...my ram eco diesel always out preformed ratings....my f150 diesel seems to be doing the same...I was hoping so being it only rated at 25 hwy...on 4x4,
So far getting about 28 Hwy at 75mph...but only on 3rd tank
