I have been doing mine at 7500kms, unless I have been towing, and oil life monitor gets to the 20-30% range. Just changed it at 7500kms, and still had 46% left on oil.life monitor. I bought bulk Shell T6 full synthetic and buy bulk filters from Rock Auto (Motocraft), its cheap.

I just had mine changed because the pop up message told me to change the oil now. 9000 miles since last oil change.
