Looking to buy a 2018 Lariat 3.0 with 40k miles. Financials make sense, truck has been well maintained, one owner. Does anybody have any issues with the Powertrain? Follow up questions, is anyone over 100k miles seeing any issues? Thanks for your help.

22,000 miles
Not a sign of trouble, so far so good.
@JohnSolo7 - first off, let me welcome you to our little club here!

Given the oldest 3.0L PS Diesel F150 is just over 2 years old (first adopters starting taking delivery in June 2018), I would think you would be hard pressed to find any owner here over 50K, so while I understand the reasoning behind your inquiry, I don't think anyone here is going to be able to answer your 2nd question re: Issues over 100K miles....
37,000 on my 2018 King Ranch diesel. A perfect truck.
25K on my 2019 King Ranch and perfect truck so far.
I own a 2018 that I purchased from a Ford executive. So I am the second owner technically. I purchased it with last October 2019 with 6800mi and just flipped 14K mile the other day. This past year due to the economy slow down I have not driven as much as I originally predicted over this past year.
What I can share is I have had issues with the heater blower whistling when turned to heat mode and the noise was a bit annoying when in "auto climate" as the noise would then osculate as the blower speed would change. Ford flat rate calls for 37hrs of labor to replace the two blower boxes. According to the dealership.
Additionally the rear window defrost did not work in 2 of the 3 panes of glass. Ford replaced the window to no avail and I currently have a 2nd window sitting to be installed. Waiting for me to drop the truck off at the dealership.
When I return the truck for the glass replacement I also have it scheduled for replacement of the forward transmission pump as there is a tech bulletin out for shifting issues. My truck only experiences this problem on occasion when the truck is cold and usually shifting between 3rd to 4th gear or from 4th to 5th. The symptom is virtually all power loss or very hard shifting or jerking motion of the truck.
All parts and labor is being covered under warranty.
As for the engine and other parts of the truck, mine has been solid and I would not hesitate to purchase again.

@Chad1903 - Are not all of your issues still covered under Ford's across-the-board 3 yr/36K Bumper-to-Bumper new vehicle warranty, regardless of whether you are the original or second owner?

37 hours to swap out the two blower boxes sounds absolutely ridiculous, which is why I'd be pushing for them to replace under warranty = must have to remove the entire dash....

All the work done and the scheduled work is being covered under warranty.
I agree 37 hours is absurd. I am not paying the bill so I really had no complaints. I do know they had to remove the entire dash along with seats to gain access to everything. Seems excessive in my opinion.
I also recently learned Ford's warranty bumper-bumper 3yr/36K mile only applies to the original owner. Any owner there after falls under a 1yr/12K mile warranty which in my case I still qualify for.
When I learned of this I actually contacted Ford direct to investigate as I also own a Ford Edge and the dealer weaseled there way out of using this fine print. So when I took my truck in (different dealership) I came prepared with the original sale receipt in my pocket. The second dealership never said a word and frankly I am ecstatic with there service and honesty even though they are little slow, I rather have truthfulness and quality and so far that is what I am seeing.
@Chad1903 - Really?!?!??? All I can say is: Wow! Learned something else new today....

Highest i've seen is 70,000 miles, no issues with that one. The updates ford made to this engine over the JLR version seem to be working out so far.
I'm second owner and had a problem with the electric tilt/telescope steering wheel. The fix was covered under the bumper to bumper warranty. I think the B2B goes with the vehicle not the original owner.

2018 owner. Just passed 36000 miles. No problems so far. Great truck on the highway. Putting on new set of Michelins on Friday.
65,000 kms - 39,000 miles on a 2019 - no issues here. runs like a top.
It’s far from a new engine. It’s been used in Land Rovers for ages. A few tweaks to suit f150 life, different gearbox and life is good.
Great truck just make sure it has EGR valve replaced, mine in line for EGR #2
