Just worked out a deal to replace my aging 11 Raptor with a Powerstroke F150 2018 model, I got setup on the Ford pass app which I appear to see has a recall already. Guess I will wait till they send me the details..... Great truck so far and I am enjoying it.....

oh yeah, I went from the Gen 1 Raptor with the 6.2 liter to the Powerstroke 3 liter, I did buy the 5 year 100 thousand mile warranty well since it is a new motor and looks like it would be a great idea.

If your recall is the 18E02 you will want to get it back in to have that taken care of asap. Read the thread discussion related to this. Perhaps your recall is for the engine block heater wiring, because forum members are saying Ford is not letting any trucks leave their lots now without the 18E02 being addressed, so that would seem it is something to address asap. Mine goes into the shop tomorrow for that.

Congrats on the new truck jamanrr and welcome to the forum! Which trim line did you get?

The diesel is only available in Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum.

I have a Lariat FX4, I love the old school front bench seat with the column shiftier lever. I asked the salesman I bought it from, I am hoping that their service department fixed it before they sold it to me. From what I understand there is a stop sale on them for them to address this. I have no open recalls on my Ford Pass App

Welcome to the forum sir and congrats on your Powerstroke. Did you ever have the opportunity to take the Raptor off road? Does it live up to the premise?

Mine did but yes I used it quite a bit off road, they are pretty trucks for sure. IMO the 6.2 liter is better for off road use than the eco boost 3.5 liter. The Gen2 Raptor is blistering fast and for the street that might be great but for everyday truck use I am sure it would get old. The GEN 1 Raptor is a great truck and I almost thought about buying a used one but decided on the power stroke after driving them, and realizing 440 ft lbs of torque combined with 23 plus mpg is a good thing. I took the FX4 package and 100 thousand mile warranty so hopefully this thing will last a long time. I guess you can delete the EGR / DEF crap after 100 thousand miles and pollute away with a tune and 500+ horsepower combined with 800 ft. lbs toque. Most all diesel engines can double HP easily with a tune and some modification.

I will post a pic once it warms up and stops raining
