After almost 2 years of ownership I finally made a long trip not towing a heavy load. Nominal cruising speed was between 65 and 80 mph (limit +5). 700# in the bed on the way down and empty coming back. 25.2 average for the round trip and 27.6 on the final leg which was mostly 65-70 mph. Considering the truck is a long box Super Crew 4x4 I'm pretty happy.

I had a similar experience recently with my 2018 extended cab @ 28K miles. Finally made a road trip hauling all my son's mechanics tools and equipment from OK to NC when he got reassigned onshore. Pulled an enclosed trailer with a fully loaded MAC toolchest along with all his other equipment. A consistent 24 mpg on the way out @ 70-75. After dropping off we returned more leisurely and were getting 28 mpg. Passing and climbing were a breeze when pulling the trailer, nice to have when driving among the semi's.
