I was supposed to pick up my 2018 Platinum last Friday. Thursday night went to bed. Nothing on FordPass about it. Wake up Friday morning to a recall notice. Dearborn was overnighting parts. Hopefully today I will pick it up.

EGR recall....

Can you ask/ take pics of exactly what they are replacing?
Its already over with. I heard there are 7 parts being replaced and it's approx/ 3.5 hour job. Apparently there was a screw inside the EGR that could come loose and fall into the engine. Ford would not allow it off the lot with the repair.
Confirmed yesterday with my Service Manager there is currently a STOP SALE on all 2018/2019 F150 Diesels
= Dealers cannot sell/release any trucks in their control until this FSA has been completed
= I take this as a pretty serious issue that needs to be addressed
I would say you are absolutely correct. That is what I was told. Parts arrived from Dearborn Saturday. Installed Saturday/Monday morning. Took delivery at noon yesterday.

How far back did this problem go? Did they give you any idea? Mine was manufactured in August
Darrell do you have the Fordpass app on your phone?
@Darrell Michel - I think our trucks were built around the same time (August 2018) and I'm the one that started the FSA 18E02 thread, so I would be very surprised if your truck wasn't part of the recall.

Get the FordPass app installed on your smart phone or visit the Ford Owner website and register your vehicle to see if your VIN is under recall.
