I called this morning, their best technician is scheduled to work on my truck today...I was assured they would let me know if there was a missing screw...when I bought the truck June 15, it had 309 miles on it, today it only has 524 miles...surely the screws help that long! Time will tell
I would demand to see the old EGR valve... My local dealership lied to me on a daily basis when I was going through the EGR issue. In the end I was one of the unlucky few who did loose an EGR screw in my engine. Ford refused to do anything about it other than a bumper to bumper 100k warranty. Love the truck but have zero confidence it wont strand me someday.

Just got the check engine light last Friday. Was hoping it might be something other than this... unfortunately it started knocking this morning, literally on the way to the dealership! Worst part is I had it in the shop two weeks ago and asked them to take care of the recalls. They told me not to worry about the 18E02 recall unless the light came on.
Quick update... My truck has been at the shop since last Thursday (3/21/19). I have called every day to see if there is an ETA on replacement parts. The service manager said they have had these parts on order since the first week in February and should be there any day. I have contacted other local dealerships and all say they could have the parts overnighted if needed. Yes, I could grab my truck and bring it to another dealer. However, I have a loaner now and the other dealerships don't have loaners available for a week or two. Plus I'm afraid to drive the truck and potentially cause more damage.
