My check engine light came on at 2900 miles for the egr cooler, had it "fixed" at 3500 miles at Ford as the parts were back ordered and it came back on around the 4500-5000 mark had it "fixed" again with the recall this time at 6500 miles and the next day I start the truck and it is knocking so bad the entire truck is shaking. Two weeks later I am told it needs a new short block entirely and that is a month minimum out. The truck used a full tank of def in the first 4000 miles and now with 6500 miles the def tank sits just above 3/4 which seems odd also.

The first time it went in they didnt do the recall as it wasnt out yet and they weren't very clear about what they actually did. The second time I brought it I didnt even know about the recall until I got there and they told be about it. Know they are telling me that they dont know what happened just that my motor is "banged up". I'm definitely not impressed with how Ford is handling this, I'm paying $900 a month for a truck that will be in the shop for 2 months and now I'm running around in a pos xl EcoBoost

Well be prepared for a wait, took 5 weeks from me bringing the truck into the garage for them to diagnose my truck and get a short block shipped in. Now probably another week or two because once they get the short block in they have to measure to get the right head gaskets then who knows how long to put it back together....
Be sure to call Ford customer service and tell them the situation because they will reimburse your payments, or atleast one months worth. Ford customer service has been good about keeping me updated on what is going on, the dealership not so much....
