Called my local dealer today to schedule mine. They said they need it for at least a day and a half. I said ok, as I would rather they take the time to do it rite. I say when can I drop it and get a loaner or a rental from them. He tells me they are not going to give me a loaner or pay for a rental???wtf. He tells me ford is not including rentals or loaners costs in the recall.. I say, I guess they wouldn't since its only supposed to be a 3.2 hour job, and its not my fault that you are going to take longer. Long story short they refused. So i got on the phone to file a complaint with Ford. Got a case number, Now it is wait and see if Ford fixes this. I'll keep you posted

Called Dealer today to set up appointment for the egr recall. its going in on 3/19/2019 but NOW they need it for three days?? They gave me some b*llsh*t line about it not fitting on their heavy duty lift?? From what I can tell from other posts they don't even need a lift to do the work. And to top that my brother (a mechanic) says at their garage they would only use their heavy lift to pick up any pickup. btw, have had my truck on their heavy lift and fits just fine. Also for those people that don't know anything about lifts. They are universal, as long as you don't exceed the weight limit of the lift your good to go. Any one else ever hear of this?? My brother had a good laugh about the B S about the lift.
My brother ( 30+years mechanic ) and I have looked at my truck and he thinks it shouldn't take more than a half day to do this in my driveway( without a lift ) If I knew I wouldn't possibly have warranty issues down the road, I would and could do this myself.
Well anyway they are going to pick up the tab for a three day rental, so they are just going to lose more money on this job.
