Some of the first posts here are amazing, yours is at the top of the list for sure. Hopefully you are close to the end of your long nightmare. This sounds very close to the issues I had with my first 3.0 diesel that Ford did buy back. Your issues are much worse than I faced. Has Ford made you a firm settlement figure or just a commitment to buy it back yet? What I am concerned with is the mileage cost- in my case I was at just over 3,000 miles but you are at 10 times that and it can eat into your settlement quickly.

In my case I felt Ford was good to work with, pretty helpful and responsive to the various issues. My big complaint was they sure took their time with the process.

OK! I am all done finally. As you all may remember Ford agreed to buy my Blue Jean 3.0 Lariat and I turned it in to a dealer up north on May 30. I was promised everything would go quickly after that.

Flash forward to today. I never heard anything back on my check (it was a pretty big check) so finally I asked the BBB to reopen the case. Today BBB called and my check has been about a mile from my house for the last 20 days. It was at the local Ford dealer but no one informed me.

Anyway, still enjoying my new 2018 Platinum. And now, back to retirement.

OK, just cleaned up my 2018 Bluejean 3.0 and off to the dealer to turn it in. Ford has been very good to work with during the buyback. I bought the truck in late January so this is a shorter timetable than others I have heard of. My first (and last!) buyback. By the way, this truck was perfect in every detail except for the bucking and related issues.

We are in the middle of a move so I will wait till we get settled to replace it. Probably going to get a Platinum 3.0 to get the features I want.

Thanks! First, we love the truck. Still less than 3,000 miles but last weekend we decided to take a trip in it and ended way back in the mountains. For about 1 hour we lost cell contact and that was when it began bucking. My wife was a little shaken LOL. Anyway she still refuses to drive it.

It only has one issue but no one has yet figured out what it is. My best guess is the egr recall mechanic screwed something up because that is when it all started. I doubt I will ever know.

Probably late fall or next winter we will replace it and it will be a diesel but not positive exactly which model. Meanwhile my 2013 F150 5.0 is still running like a champion so no hurry. I love the trucks, not the dealers but Ford has been good to keep trying to fix it.

Sprink, welcome and best of luck with your issues. This ordeal really removes the "joy of ownership" and frankly it has become the biggest single problem I have in my otherwise boring life. You do get the feeling no one will help you on this, each of us is on our own. My truck is parked in the drive here in WV and Ford Customer Service advised me to take it back in to the dealer in FL.

Read your owners manual on arbitration and check your state's laws. Most states require you to submit to binding arbitration as a first step and that is where I am now. By the way, you qualify to be included in the forum's spreadsheet of dead and dying trucks! So there is that
