Just an update of my problem. Started with a p2457 code (egr cooler efficiency). Then had p0234 pop up for over boost a week later. Went back 2 times to pick up truck because they thought it was fixed. Drove out of the lot and accelerated quickly, boost gauge pins all the way and cel comes on for p0234. Immediately return each time. Now, Ford thinks it needs a new egr. In goes my second egr when parts get in. Not sure it will fix it but it was the first problem. I am just not sure how it is causing overboost.

@fharrison - any updates on your P2457 and P0234 codes?
Sorry, didn't update. So truck was in shop over a month. They replaced the egr and still had an overboost problem. Replaced turbo, and that fixed overboost problem but it was really loud. So they replaced it again and it seems to be running good now. I guess a pin in the vgt actuator came loose. They then had an exhaust gas leak at the back of turbo donut connection. I still think it is leaking a little but barely. I hate donut connections. Have them on my snowmobile and you can never seal them without some kind of gasket maker. I might do a little sealer on the connection myself. Little nervous about any excess on the inside getting in the dpf. Running good now though.

Update.... egr replacement and vacuum leak repair did not fix the overboost problem. Dealer is stumped and a Ford engineer is on the way to figure this out. Bummer. I love this truck, just want it to work.
Glad they are getting a engineer on it. I am sure they will figure it out. For the guys that know these trucks, in my opinion they are not all that complicated.

If they come back that the motor is destroyed by eating the screw, demand(nicely) a buyback and replacement. Seems like others are getting that with a bit of a push.
Thankfully when the egr was replaced 12000 miles ago, the screws were intact. I dont beleive that is my problem. The wait continues. The only positive is I am putting miles on a loaner instead of mine.

An update....dealer replaced the egr but then found a vacuum leak. Have a feeling that was actually responsible for egr efficiency and overboost problem since both of those are vacuum actuated. May have not been a problem with egr at all. Will find out tomorrow.

Dealer pulled code P2457 egr cooler below threshold
This is the exact same code I was getting before they replaced the turbo I asked the tech to see if he could pull up all the codes since day one I have them on my phone now it’s over four pages long
I called Ford customer service Canada again my case is being escalated to the next level of Manager
This is now at the third level whatever that means LOL
I have the same code, p2457. Popped up last week. Then the turbo began over boosting, code p0234 while I was waiting for my appointment. Turbo was quite a bit louder then normal and would have a fluttering sound when letting off the gas. Fluttering almost sounded like a waste gate but I know this truck does not have one. Still waiting for the dealer to call. 3 days in the shop.
